I heard the robins out in the woods making the call they make when an owl's near and went to see if I could find it. It was a barred owl sitting on a branch about 10 feet above the ground.
The robins were shrieking and flying at it. Half an hour later they were still at it.
what beautiful shots of the owl and robins! The owl in photo #2 looks as though he is saying "Oh, really! go away and don't bother me."
ReplyDeleteThe robins can be fierce. That one was dive bombing the owl and hitting it on the head. And then a hummingbird joined the fray as well.
