Onions and Cats

Another winter market is coming up this Saturday. So we spent this evening boxing up squash and onions. I bagged up some of the special cipollini onions in one pound bags. I like to give these as Christmas presents and I hope I can convince a few customers that that is a good idea.
While we were doing that Chas decided to jump into an empty wastebasket. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

  1. What is it about cats and boxes, Margaret? Put a box on the ground and a cat will get in it and take full possession.
Those onions look great. We have difficulty in a damp year in getting ours to dry without going mouldy. Wish I could come to your market to buy some of yours!

  2. We've dedicated one of our hoophouses to drying onions. They stay dry and with both doors open it is warm and airy in there. It worked great.
