Weeds?

Weeds are defined as plants growing in the wrong place. This spot of ground near the house has growing on it all sorts of little plants that I would rip out if they were in the garden. But I was charmed by how pretty they looked. I'm not sure what they all are, there is some vetch, wild strawberries, cress, hairy cats' paws, Queen Anne's lace, and some grasses. Click on the picture to enlarge it and see the plants close up.

  1. I just recently found your blog. I have been reading the older ones to see what you are doing this time of year. Are you still doing the winter market? Love the blog.

  2. Our last indoor winter market for this year will be April 3. This is our 8th year of doing a monthly winter market. The regular weekly outdoor market starts toward the end of April.

  3. Weeds form a good addition to the landscape if managed properly. They can also be a good source of nutrients to the soil and a source of fresh and clean air.
